Before undergoing any aesthetic treatments, it is best for you to know the downtime, recovery time as well as how long a certain treatment result lasts. A thorough understanding of each of the treatments is good if you want to carry on with the personal plans that you have already made. Our aesthetic treatment results vary differently from one another, hence, here’s a glimpse of each of them.

Skin Booster

For skin booster, it can last for 4 to 6 months after the treatment. The result is based on the skin booster type as well as post-treatment maintenance. Post-treatment maintenance includes avoiding strenuous exercises and sweat inducing activities such as saunas & steam rooms.

It is important for you to practise these so that the areas that were treated will not end up swollen or bloated, while also making the results last longer. In order to reduce wrinkles, skin booster improves skin elasticity by promoting hydration and recovering skin health for a more plump and youthful look.

Botulinum Toxin

How long does Botulinum Toxin (Botox) last? Well, Botulinum Toxin lasts for 1 to 6 months. It solely depends on how the individual’s immune system reacts to the toxin. This is due to its function that momentarily prevents muscle contractions and nerve transmissions. The neurotoxin’s effects will eventually wear off, and the nerves will once again be able to communicate with the muscles to expand and contract.

First-timers may frequently observe that while it might not last at first, it might last longer after the second treatment procedure. As mentioned, its outcome will differ depending on the person’s immune system. Botulinum Toxin slows down the creation of new wrinkles by reducing the contraction of face muscles.

Dermal Filler

Have you always wondered how long your anti-wrinkle injections (fillers) will last? Or what is the recovery or healing time? Well, the usual recovery time for dermal fillers range from almost-immediately to 3 days. And most impressively, it will last for 6 to 12 months depending on the type of gel that was being used.

Dermal fillers remain as filler type with the most long-lasting effects among their other aesthetics counterparts. For about a year, the results will remain evident. Dermal filler contains Hyaluronic Acid (HA), a naturally occurring substance that promotes the synthesis of collagen and elastin. With the synthesis of the substances, it provides structure, plumpness and a more moisturised appearance to your skin.

Thread Lift

You may also wonder how long does thread lifts last? Well, it actually depends on the type of thread lifts that you will be using. In B+ Clinic, we offer you two choices – PDO (polydioxanone) thread lift and PCL (polycaprolactone) thread lift.

PDO lasts for 6 to 9 months. This thread lift method lifts and rejuvenates drooping skin using dissolvable sutures.

PCL, however, are temporal sutures used to aid in skin tightening and lifting, lasting 12 to 18 months. Thread lifts slow down the signs of ageing by skin tightening, skin lifting and collagen simulation.

Different aesthetic treatments bear different results, recovery time as well as their time periods. It is important to note on how the results last so that you will be able to make plans to cater to your personal schedule as well as planning future post-treatment appointments to maintain the treated areas. However, do make sure to ask your practitioners beforehand to have a better understanding about the downtimes and how a certain aesthetic treatment lasts.
